Freedom to Speak Up

Freedom to Speak Up is the name of a review published in February 2015, providing independent advice and recommendations on creating a more open and honest reporting culture in the NHS. The review was chaired by Sir Robert Francis QC following the public inquiry into the failings at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, which exposed unacceptable levels of patient care and a culture that deterred staff from raising concerns.

NHS Property Services has committed at Board level to the high standards set out by the Francis inquiry and the Freedom to Speak Up review, among others.

All are welcome to contact us at any time to raise concerns, either openly or in confidence, so that any risks or mistakes are addressed and lessons learned, in the best interests of patient care and propriety.
