How to reset your password

Here’s some easy steps to reset your password

  • Enter your NHSPS email on the password reset page.

      Visit the password reset page

  • Enter the letters and numbers you see in the box below them. If you can’t see them clearly, tap the speaker so they’re read out to you. You can also change the characters using the refresh option.
  • Click next.
  • You’ll then be asked how you want to verify. The default is to send a number to your mobile phone, you can change this to a call if you want. You can also use Microsoft Authenticator if you've set up the app.
  • For the text option enter your phone number in the box and tap text. The number is usually your work phone and the last two numbers are shown to confirm it.
  • For the call option, enter your phone number and tap call. The number is usually your work phone and the last two numbers are shown to confirm it.
  • For the text option, you’ll get a message with a code, type this in the box and tap next.
  • For the call option, you’ll get a call that you must answer, listen to and respond.
  • You’ll be asked to enter a new password, enter it again to confirm it and tap finish.
  • Wait a few seconds and you’ll then see a message that your password has been changed successfully.
  • You can now close the password reset page.

Make sure your password:

  • Is at least 14 characters long.
  • Has at least one capital letter, one number and one special character.
  • Isn't too obvious, such as the name of where you live or a pet’s name.
  • Hasn't been used by you before.
