Thumbs up for Brentwood
Brentwood Community Hospital
Small is best, according to one happy patient who praised the quality of service she received at her community hospital.
Karen Holder attended the Brentwood Community Hospital for an ultrasound scan. She said: “It was a really good experience from start to finish. I was greeted at reception by a lovely lady who gave me directions to the right department where I was welcomed by Michael and shown where to sit. My appointment was prompt and I was then seen by Florence who was very professional in her approach. She made me feel comfortable and explained the procedure very clearly.
Brentwood Community Hospital is owned by NHSPS and is eight years old. It has two 25-bed wards, together with a variety of departments including a Children’s Unit, Outpatients, and X-ray Department. Six separate NHS Trusts operate services from the hospital site.
Karen added: “People these days are very quick to criticise things but rarely are people praised for the service they have provided. I’d like to say well done Brentwood Community Hospital, you should be proud of yourselves.”
Julia Castle, the Service Delivery Manager, for the East of England, said: “We get a lot of positive comments about Brentwood Community Hospital and it’s very rewarding for everyone when we receive such fulsome praise from people like Ms Holder. It’s great to know that everyone’s hard work is appreciated and that we’re delivering a high level of service.”
