NHS Open Space announces new sites coming soon

The service offers health and wellbeing providers looking for alternative and flexible ways to deliver services in their community by using NHS pay-as-you-go spaces nationwide, on an hourly or daily basis, with greater flexibility at an affordable price. Rooms ranging from examination rooms to group activity spaces, to offices.

The NHS Open Space community has recently reached over 78,538 bookings through the platform since May 2019, accounting for over 478,549 hours of vital service delivery to patients and communities.

Following the success of previous phase launches, the next phase of properties joining in August will continue help the organisation towards its aim of making better use of NHS space and enabling excellent patient care, offering more flexibility and transparency for the NHS estate. 

Chris King, Principal Strategic Asset Manager at NHS Property Services, is confident that this scheme will continue to expand and improve how NHS space is used. He said: "I’m excited to continue expanding our scheme to include more sites across the nation. We are constantly exploring how we can improve our system and increase the number of sites available to customers. As the nation begins to get back to some sense of normality, we know that many healthcare providers and businesses will be looking for new working spaces that they can trust, and we want to help support as many of these providers as possible. If we all work together, we can get back on our feet, in trusted spaces, all while supporting the NHS.
