NHS Property Services Appoints Saba as its New National Car Parking Operator

Saba Park Services UK Limited will provide car parking management to sites that require new and improved car parking measures.

NHS Property Services (NHSPS) is pleased announce that it has appointed Saba Park Services UK Limited (Saba) as its new national car parking management operator. The contract will be focused on making improvements to enhance the overall customer experience for patients, visitors and staff using NHSPS car parks.

The investment will include new and updated equipment, technology and clear signage to ensure all user groups understand the new car parking controls. Many NHSPS sites users won’t have to pay for parking, and the sites that do have the new machines will give customers the options to pay with cash, credit/debit cards, contactless, pay by phone, app or website.

Users of NHSPS car parks will now be afforded a 20-minute grace period for parking and parking at NHSPS car parks for blue badge holders will continue to remain free. NHSPS Facilities Managers and Saba together will identify a suitable solution based on a site by site analysis. It will either be operated by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) or manual enforcement which will be carried out by a Saba employed parking attendant.

Martin Steele, Chief Operating Officer at NHS Property Services said: “We are pleased to have appointed Saba as our new national car par parking operator, who have a wealth of experience and expertise. We are committed to working in partnership to deliver an improved user experience. We will roll out this nationally procured solution to all NHSPS owned car parks that require a managed car parking service.”

Andy Marr, Regional Commercial Manager, Saba commented: “We are delighted to be working with NHS Property Services, each site is unique in its requirements and we are pleased to be able to provide the best bespoke solution to improve the customer journey."
