Public Sector Solutions Expo

On 25th June we attended the 2019 Public Sector Solutions Expo, with our Head of Property Management, Julie Whetton, joining the Assets & Estates stream to present on ‘Improving Space Utilisation in the NHS’.

This event gathered a range of Public Sector stakeholders to explore topics ranging from digital to finance to leadership, and we used this opportunity explain how the NHS estate fits into the wider public sector’s and run through an overview of our key programmes and initiatives.

As Julie put it, "the NHS is been going for over 70 years, but focus has only been put on its estate in the past few years", and organisations like NHS Property Services are crucial to ensuring the portfolio continues to enable the delivery of quality patient care, now and into the future. With this look ahead, we also discussed our recent report in partnership with the King's Fund on technology and the estate.

The rise of Integrated Care Systems and Primary Care Networks highlight the importance of collaboration and partnership within and beyond the public sector for the ongoing success of the NHS, so we were delighted to attend this event to present to and discuss with various organisations across the public sector.
