During a period of tremendous change for the NHS with the emergence of Integrated Care Partnerships (ICSs) and Primary Care Networks (PCNs), as well as the impact of COVID-19 on care provision and estates, different types of spaces are required to deliver care to local communities.

We are committed to working closely with our partners across ICSs and PCNs in the South West to understand the needs, challenges and opportunities that exist within your communities. We want to support you with your clinical strategies by not only ensuring your estate needs are met, but to really help you get the most from your estate so you can deliver excellent patient care.

As we hope that the worst of the pandemic is behind us teams across the locality continue to support various initiatives that are associated with capital investments, refurbishments or optimising space through - put simply -  just making better use of what we already have. Some of these include:

• Bath, NE Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire – Work is now underway at Devizes Integrated Care Centre and this video link provides an excellent summary of the scheme. In Chippenham, a new flexible office space has been facilitated through identifying a proportion of the Jenner House site that was previously occupied by NHSE/I.
• Together for Devon - We're working with Livewell on two notable schemes. At the Glenbourne Unit, we have facilitated the removal of dormitories and at the Mount Gould Hospital we have worked with the local teams and colleagues at CHP to optimise site use whilst providing benefits for the patients and staff.
• Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Health and Care Partnership – We're working across the primary and community estate including investments at St Austell Community Hospital and Camborne and Redruth Community Hospitals. And providing support to the CCG led engagement on the Edward Hain Community Hospital. 
• Healthier Together Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire – investments have provided refurbished space at Thornbury Health Centre whilst elsewhere, a number of this ICS' sites have now come onto the NHS Open Space platform enabling occupiers to efficiency manage and utilise their sessional space.
