Tip Tuesdays: Adding Users to the NHS Open Space platform

Welcome back to our Tip Tuesday blog! This week, we will be guiding you through the process of adding new users to your organisation, on the NHS Open Space booking system.

Through the flexible booking of NHS Open Space, we are offering customers more choice and flexibility, communities a wider range of services, and making more efficient use of the NHS estate.

Step one: log into your NHS Open Space account

Once you have logged into your NHS Open Space account, navigate to the ‘Accounts’ page and select the ‘add new’ button.

Step two: fill in the user’s details

  • Input the user’s first name, last name, email address and phone number

Note: the email address must exist to allow login details to be received.

  • Select their role (see user definitions below)

 

  • Select the ‘submit’ button to complete the process.

User definitions

Bookers: All Service Bookers (i.e. they can book against all current and future services on their client account), or Restricted Service Bookers, (i.e. they can only book against the services to which they are assigned)

Bill Payers: Same as Bookers but can also add and manage payment methods and edit and create other Bookers or Bill Payers.

Primary Users: Same as Bill Payers but can also create and manage all users and manage their organisation’s account.

Note: when adding or editing a Booker, you will be asked which services you would like them to be booked against. If you would like to book against all the services listed for your organisation, click ‘all services’. Alternatively, if you wish to select which services you would like to book against, please click ‘select services’.
