Working at NHS Property Services

By joining NHS Property Services, you will become part of a talented, dedicated team of experts who are passionate about supporting the NHS and its people in their vital work.

Smarter working, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion are more than just buzz words to us - they are integral to who we are as a responsible business, one that looks after each and every colleague and responds to their changing needs.

Smarter working

The Covid-19 pandemic has completely transformed how we live, including how we work. We have adopted a Smarter Working approach bringing together our people, technology and workspaces to create a great place to work. We describe it as a modern, flexible approach to work, creating a culture where we can jointly balance organisational and personal needs.

We want to develop an NHS office estate that enables a productive and happy workforce. Our new way of working is a positive change for our people and the business, offering a more flexible way of working that empowers our colleagues to choose how and where they work according to their day.

Wellbeing

Supporting and investing in mental and physical health has never been more important so we're aiming to create a workplace where we are all more aware of our own mental health, know how to look after our wellbeing and are well equipped to have conversations around mental health and support each other.

Through educational webinars, virtual PT sessions, mental health training, support networks and many other ways, we're creating a wellbeing program that is designed to help us recover from the effects of COVID-19 and beyond.

We have also signed up to the Mental Health at Work Commitment and are developing tools aligned with the Thriving at Work standards.

We do this by collectively listening to colleague stories, learning from what they tell us and getting to know them; supporting colleagues from all backgrounds to ensure they have equal access to development and progression opportunities which will have benefits for all teams and levels; and celebrating and valuing our differences and the successes they can bring us.
