Employer of the Year for Apprentices

Train Together is the training provider we partner to delivers the Level 2 Facilities Services Operative Certificate (part of our Stepping Stones programme). We’re very excited to have been recognised by Train Together as one of their Employers of the Year, as part of their National Apprenticeship Week celebrations, for going “above and beyond” to support the learning and development of our colleagues through apprenticeships.  

Train Together wrote:

"It is a great privilege to work with NHS Property Services and their Stepping Stones programme. The goal of Stepping Stones is to create progression routes and offer professionalism to the team on the facilities management (FM) frontline. NHSPS demonstrate best practice in developing a learning and development culture."

“Stepping Stones has been an exciting collaboration with Train Together, which has given our frontline colleagues the opportunity to develop personal and professional skills, whilst also offering the chance to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

The internal development sessions are facilitated by our Learning & Development team, alongside subject matter experts from across our business. The sessions were written to compliment the Level 2 Facilities Services Operative apprenticeship standards, making it a joined-up approach between NHSPS and Train Together. This approach is part of our social mobility strategy and has supported a number of our colleagues to progress their careers within NHSPS.
