As your landlord, we’ll do our best to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone. However, it is your responsibility as an occupier and employer to protect colleagues, patients, and any other people visiting your sites from harm. It’s important to note that even if you don’t have an occupancy agreement, you still have these responsibilities.
Security risk assessments
To mitigate against security and related incidents that might occur during your occupancy, you must complete a detailed security risk assessment. This should consider all possible scenarios, vulnerabilities of the services and site, establish mitigating controls, incident response plans and be regularly reviewed.
Why this matters?
Taking these steps is your responsibility to minimise the risk of disruption, so that critical operations can be maintained even in the face of unexpected challenges.
Completing your security risk assessment process will help you understand what's appropriate for your premises, areas and operations. Any equipment or practice implemented should be proportionate to the risk, fit for purpose and sustainable over time.
We may request copies of risk assessments that you have completed for your services, activities or areas you occupy. This is to make sure that we can correctly assess any overall risks to the building and to our colleagues, if they need to work in areas under your control, especially where any high-risk activities may be taking place.
