NHSPS Standards and Minimum Design Requirements
The NHS Property Services (NHSPS) Standards and Minimum Design Requirements set out our requirements for developing, redeveloping and refurbishing primary care and community healthcare buildings in England.
These healthcare design standards support the delivery of safe, efficient and sustainable NHS environments. They provide guidance for organisations, consultants and contractors involved in healthcare estate projects, helping to make sure we have a consistent approach across NHSPS properties.

NHSPS Technical Specification - Asset Standardisation
This technical specification provides guidance on the preferred manufacturers, products and performance requirements for key building services and engineering assets across NHSPS properties.
Where there is no requirement for a specific manufacturer or model, the document sets out the minimum standards and accreditation requirements for mechanical and electrical assets and their installation. This helps make sure we have a consistent approach to asset standardisation across the NHS estate.
