Jim Goatley is qualified as an electrical and nuclear engineer in the armed forces, developing FM and building services experience in civilian life thereafter. Career progression includes increasingly senior roles in Facilities Management including Principal Engineer, General Manager and Head of Technical Services. Jim has been responsible for property services in a number of private and public sector organisations including Cable & Wireless, BBC, Aviva, DWP and BT.

In his current role as Head of Technical Services as NHS Property Services, Jim leads the strategy and management of infrastructure assets throughout the estate, and is also responsible for technical compliance, fire, technical standards and guidance.
