Nottingham Health Centre in line for major make over

Nottingham’s Beeston Health Centre is set for a significant refurbishment scheme with £1 million being invested into the clinical facility.

The health centre’s redevelopment includes the; overhaul of the security infrastructure, modifications to the water system, replacements of boilers and other units, electrics and lightings to be upgraded, laying of infection control compliant flooring and general re-decorations. The work will impact the majority of the building and is set for completion by the end of the calendar year.

The construction work will be delivered by Community Ventures. The work was identified by NHS Property Services’ construction team who analysed the site and concluded that investment now will substantially reduce future reactive maintenance costs to upkeep the site pre-redevelopment.

Martin Salmon, Senior Construction Manager for NHSPS, said: “This is a diverse area with a range of health needs and I am pleased that we have managed to work through challenges to start development on Beeston Health Centre. We would not be in the position to start this major project without the support of Lesley Morley from Nottinghamshire Health Care Foundation Trust, Jonathan Baldock from Community Ventures and my own FM team, Carla Masonbrook and Carole James. By working together with stakeholders we hope to deliver a modern, revamped health centre for the people of Beeston”
