As the COVID-19 vaccination rollout gets underway, we have updated the guidance for customer requests for vaccination space and services as well as for general COVID-19 requests.

This includes revised guidance on how charges will be allocated for general COVID-19 related requests and supersedes the previous guidance issued on 7th October 2020.

We know this continues to be a challenging time for all of us and at NHSPS we are doing all that we can to support our customers in dealing with COVID-19 and rolling out the vaccine programme.

We’re here to work with you and our partners to optimise the estate for patients and we continue to work to minimise the financial impact of any additional needs as much as we can.

How is NHSPS supporting the COVID-19 vaccination programme?

We are working with our national and regional NHS partners to respond to the estate requirements of the planned vaccination programme.

We are now in receipt of the national/regional agreed list of designated Primary Care Network (PCN) sites. We are already supporting a number of these sites and where new sites have become known to us, we are contacting local contacts to understand if any property support is required to get these sites ready.

As this critical work takes place, our regional teams are working with customers who may require advice on space and facilities management services.

For more information or to request support, please contact our Customer Support Centre on 0800 085 3015 or customer.service@property.nhs.uk.

Who will be covering the costs for vaccination space and services?

The table below shows how charges will be allocated for vaccination space and services. This is in alignment with the latest funding guidance from NHS England.

*Incremental costs for services to vaccination space and the costs for new services to vaccination space will be determined locally and charged directly to NHS England based on a rate card.

Who will be covering the costs for existing and new COVID-19 related space?

Following the latest guidance from NHS England, there is a change to how space currently occupied under a COVID-19 tenancy at will (TAW) will be charged. This aligns with how vaccination space will be charged.

The below table shows how charges for existing and new COVID-19 related requests will be charged. More detail can be found in our FAQ.

How can we request support with vaccination space and services or COVID-19 related requests?

If you require support with vaccination space and services or COVID-19 related requests, please contact our Customer Support Centre on 0800 085 3015 or customer.service@property.nhs.uk.
