Working within consultancy for ten years, James supported a range of NHS, local authority and government departments, developing disposal and investment strategies together with landlord and tenant support. 

At NHSPS James has supported healthcare economies with estates initiatives, the progression of major NHSPS projects and estate strategies, moving most recently into a regional partnership role. In his current role as Regional Partnership Director for the South West, James works with Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships and Integrated Care Systems across the region to deliver key estate requirements that support clinical strategies and actively working with NHSPS teams across all functions of the organisation to deliver estate transformation. 

Key achievements:

• Working extensively with the Office of Government Commerce to peer review high value and reputational projects to ensure effective project management.
• Enabling ~£20 million of capital sales receipts for reinvestment in customer initiatives (most notably healthcare settings through the disposal of redundant estate).
• Progressing 30 estates strategies across a range of organisations. 
• Supporting the expansion of a university campus to provide 300+ additional bed spaces and expanding the academic footprint.
